After gaining a first class honours degree at university, Karl started his investment career with J.M Finn & Co. He moved over to the trading side to work as a market maker for IFX Markets. Karl left to set up and run the private client stock broking desk at Mint/BGC.In 2012 Karl founded Peregrine & Black with Patrick Bullman offering bespoke stockbroking services to professional and institutional clients. Karl became a co-founder of Peregrine & Black Investment management in 2015 and is a director of the business.
